As a team we gel just like a cake canvas cake - he forming the strong foundation like the chocolate cake and me forming the outer layer..like the fondant layer adorning the cake. ;)

The inspiration is as old as I am, since I was dabbling in art ever since I could remember like any child, but as I grew up, the huge support I received from my family to peruse a career in art led me to one of the best institutes in India to take a Bachelors and Masters in Fine arts. Artists are blessed souls as they have an outlet for the constant creative energy – but what about the ones who do not recognize the medium which will give them the satisfaction of creation? Shakespeare found his true calling by holding his pen and Renoir in front of his canvas… I was not so fortunate, so I wandered from sketches to paintings to sculpting to doing nothing as frustration scraped its spindly legs and climbed on me. A family who has been genetically gifted with a sweet tooth encouraged me to take up baking. And soon, I started giving classes on desserts to willing victims. It took some prodding from my friends who loved eating my cakes to kick off my passionate love affair with Cake Canvas - happiness in a box. Cake Canvas- happiness in a box is not a bakery, more like a designer studio for cakes. The cakes are my own recipe for a soft, moist and rich chocolate cake which is just firm to hold the layers of ganache and fondant icing that adorn it. Cake Canvas - happiness in a box offers something much more than a cake for the occasion; These are edible sculpted art, each designed with its own theme. While baking the cake and sculpting it to suite the theme is easy, moulding the figures takes up a lot of time and skill. This limits my output to about four designs a month. But I am not overworked and I get plenty of quality time with the family.

Anna, I must begin coining new words to describe your exotic creations.... I love every cake you make and the "bestest" one of course is this painting cake! 1 week back myself & Sejoe was clear that lil Mariam longs for a birthday party & is big enough for one.......from that moment onwards its been a chaos trying to get things organised....... But the cake was one thing i did not have any worries on. Once Anna agreed to do it. I just knew it was taken care of. A difficult theme was easily blended in. I had ordered this cake for my little angel "Daksha Gauri Sujith" for her naming ceremony. But instead of a cake what I got was, a slice of heaven itself!! It looked absolutely stunning & gorgeous, the baby in the cradle was shoo cute. The biggest problem for us was actually having to cut the cake Our guests loved the satin velvety finish on the outside which matched perfectly with the core taste. It was truly a cake which melted in your mouth and made u say yeh dil maange more. I would like to thank Anna so very much for her amazing culinary skills and for her brilliant cooperation with all our silly demands you made our baby's special day even more special. Thank you
